Gurgaon guide

Metro and transport

Gurgaon is served by three kinds of rail today and a fourth is being built.

  • Delhi Metro Yellow Line: five stations in Gurgaon, from Millennium City Centre (formerly HUDA City Centre) through IFFCO Chowk, MG Road and Sikanderpur to Guru Dronacharya.
  • Rapid Metro: a private-built loop around Cyber City and Golf Course Road with 11 stations, first opened in November 2013 and extended to Sector 55-56 in 2017. Its length is given as 11.7 km in one source and 12.85 km in another.
  • Gurugram Metro, Millennium City Centre to Cyber City: a 28.5 km elevated corridor in two phases. Phase 1 (to Sector 9) is under construction with a target of 2028. For phase 2 (Sector 9 to Cyber City, 15.3 km and 14 stations) the Haryana government cleared a ₹1,662 crore civil works tender around 1 October 2026.

Plans for Delhi Metro Blue Line and Airport Express extensions into Gurgaon have been reported, but their dates have slipped before, so treat them as proposals.

By road, NH 48 and the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway carry most traffic, and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway starts near Sohna with its Sohna-Dausa stretch open since February 2023.
